How-To: Approve and Deny Waiver Request

Overview: Passengers who are out of compliance may need waivers requested and approved for them to check-in at a kiosk or board a flight. Waiver requests will be generated by users on the website and the approvers will need to either accept or deny the request. This guide will outline the processes that the approver will have to go through to accept or deny these waiver request.

When a waiver request is created, an email will be sent out the appropriate approvers that are set up in the helipass website.

This email will outline the person who initiated the request, passenger's name, company the passenger is employed by, origin and destination, status reasons, waiver type, waiver reason, additional comments, and waiver history for that passenger. Any attachments placed in the request will also be attached to the email received by the approver. (See below for reference)

Be aware that if a passenger has more than one waiver reason needing to be approved, a separate email for each reason will be sent out. Each waiver reason will need to be accepted or denied in their respective email.

Once the approver looks over the request, and a decision to either approve or deny the waiver has been made, he or she can select the appropriate button at the bottom of the email.

Once selected, both the Approve Waiver and Deny Waiver buttons will reroute the approver to a page within the website telling them the waiver status has been updated. (See below for reference)

If the approver would rather go into the helipass website to review and approve waivers, he or she would need to do this from the passenger's Reservation Profile.

The easiest location in the website to locate passengers who have waivers pending, as well as passengers who have already been approved or denied, is on the Waivers page. This page is located under the Waiver tab on the top helipass bar.

Once the passenger is located on the list, select the View Details button on the right side of the user's tile. This will pull up the Reservation Profile.

Inside of the Reservation Profile, select the Waivers tab. Here the approver can change the Approval Status to either Approve or Deny. Hit save once the appropriate changes have been made.

The approver can approve and deny pending waivers for passengers anywhere their Reservation Profile can be viewed. This includes the Manifest page and Request Page.
