Transition to Email Instead of Username for Logging In
Overview:
We’re making an important update to the Helipass login experience as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen account security and streamline how users sign in. Soon, the system will begin transitioning from username‑based login to requiring users to sign in with the email address associated with their account. This shift helps ensure a more secure, standardized, and consistent authentication process across our platform.
During a designated transition period, users will still be able to log in using either their existing username and password or their account email and password. If a user chooses to continue signing in with their username during this phase, the system will display the email currently linked to their account and offer the option to update it if needed. This gives every user an opportunity to confirm or correct their contact information before email‑only sign‑in becomes mandatory.
Once the transition is complete, usernames will no longer be accepted for login, and all users will be required to sign in using their email address. This change not only enhances security but also simplifies the login process, making it easier to access your Helipass account moving forward.
Please note that these changes only affect users that sign-in using a Helipass username and password.
Users that login using Sign In with Google, Sign In with Apple, or another Single Sign On option, will not be affected by these changes.
Changes to Login During the Transition Phase
During the transition phase, the Sign-In page for the Helipass website will default to the Email Sign-In option. Users can type in the email address that is associated with their account, and the password that they normally enter, to log into the website.
If you are not sure of their email address for your account, you can click the text "Switch to Username Sign-In" below the password box to switch to the Username Sign-In method.
If the you do not enter an acceptable email address while on the Email Sign-In, a popup window will be displayed. In the window, you will be able to chose to attempt logging in again using your username, or attempt logging in again using your account's email address.
Selecting "Continue with Username" will close the window and place the you on the Sign-In with Username option. Enter in your username and password and select "Sign In" again.
Selecting "Use Email" will close the window and place the you on the Sign-In with Email option that you were just on. Enter in your account's email address and password and select "Sign In" again.
During the transition phase, users who sign in successfully using their username will be displayed another popup window with some options.
In this window, you will be alerted once again that Usernames are being phased out, identify the current email address that is associated with your account, and buttons to update you account's email address or continue into the Helipass website.
If you chose to update your email address, you will be redirected to the identity provided area of the website. From here, you can update your Email address as needed.
When updating the email address for the account, you will be required to enter in a verification code that will be sent to the new email addresses inbox before being able to complete the changes.
Users who experience issues logging in during this transition should reach out to Helipass Support by emailing [email protected] or calling the support line at (833) 735-3336.
