Managing Pilot Profiles and Weights on Manifest
Overview:
We’re excited to introduce the Pilot Profiles feature — a time-saving enhancement designed to streamline the trip-building process in Helipass.
Previously, users had to manually enter the names of the Captain and First Officer (Pilots), as well as their combined crew weight for each trip. With Pilot Profiles, you can now:
- Create and save individual pilot profiles, including their names and weights.
- Quickly select pilots from a saved list when building a trip.
- Edit pilot weights as needed, ensuring accurate manifest data.
- Reduce repetitive data entry, saving time and improving consistency across trips.
This feature is especially useful for users who regularly build out trips and manage crew data. Once a Pilot is added to the system, their information is maintained for future use — making trip creation faster and more efficient.
Managing Pilot Profiles
With Captain/First Officer names no longer being free text fields, users building manifest will be able to select the Pilot's name by clicking open the dropdown menu. The list of Pilots will appear and the user can select the profile they need.
If the Pilot's name is not listed in the dropdown list, users will first need to create Pilot Profiles in order for it to appear in the list.
To create a new Pilot Profile, you will need to click on the Action dropdown button next to the field and then hit +Add.
A modal will pop up that allows you to enter a new Pilot name and weight before hitting the +Save button. After hitting +Save, the Pilot's name and weight will be populated into the fields accordingly.
The newly entered profile will also be select-able in the dropdown list for all future trips unless it is Removed from the list.
Throughout the year, it is important to keep these pilot weights updated and accurate.
To manage changes to a Pilot Profile's name or weight, you will need to select the Pilot from the dropdown list, select the Action button, and click Edit. You can then make the changes that are needed before selecting the Update button.
If the Pilot is no longer needed in the dropdown list, they can be removed from the list.
To do this, you will need to select the Pilot from the dropdown list, select the Action button, and click Remove.
Do note that at the time of release, all tenants will have any pilot name that was manifested within the last 6 months automatically populated in the dropdown list. These Pilot Profiles, however, will not have any weights associated with them and will need to be updated as needed.
