Mapping Transport Mode to Call Signs in Edit/Actuals Pop Up
Helipass is made improvements to the Edit/Actuals dialog box by automatically filtering call signs based on the transport mode selected. This mapping is being done based on the Transport Mode field that is assigned to each individual call sign on the Call Sign page.
Below is a detailed description of how the Transport Mode and Calls Sign attributes in the Edit/Actuals popup works and where to go when a call sign's transport mode needs to be changes or assigned.
When building out your trip in the Edit/Actual popup, you are forced to select a Transport Mode and Call Sign.
If the Transport Mode is selected prior to assigning the call sign, the Call Sign drop-down will only show call signs specific to that Transport Mode. If the Call Sign field is filled out prior to assigning the Transport Mode, the Transport Mode will automatically update to the Transport Mode of associated with that call sign.
Once a call sign is selected and the appropriate Transport Mode is in place, changing the Transport Mode to something else will clear out the selected call sign. This is to prevent an incorrect Call Sign/Transport Mode combo being entered for a trip.
If you already know what call sign will be assigned to the trip, selecting it will automatically populate the Transport Mode field.
Customers with Marine Manifesting capabilities will see the available fields under the Trip Information section change change when Transport Mode is set to Motor Vessel.
It is important to validate that all existing call signs have the appropriate Transport Mode assigned, as well as properly identifying the Transport Mode for all future call signs created.
Setting the Transport Mode for each call sign in Helipass can be done on the Call Signs page located under the Assets drop-down menu.
