Managing Request from POB/COB List
Overview: Here at Helipass, we are continuously making improvements to the Site Management page for easier management of a locations POB and COB items. So far, these changes consist of new filters that can be saved as default filters, a search bar that can be used to quickly find a person or item, a new date range filter that allows users to look forward and backwards, and a collapsible trips bar on the left hand of the page. We have also combined the "Apply" passenger and cargo popup modals into a single "Trip" tile to quickly apply all movements from a trip.
The newest feature release will be to allow those users who the POB and COB list to track passengers and cargo to create request directly from that page. Request can be created. Passengers and cargo from the POB and COB list can then be added directly to the request. Allowing users to create their request without ever leaving the page, as well as being able to check off passengers and cargo items on the location already, well drastically cut down on the amount of time it takes to create a request today.
Even with the new request functionality being added to the POB and COB page, users can still create and manage request from the Request page if they chose. The existing functionality of the request page will remain in tact to ensure a smooth transition to the new workflow. These changes are just the beginning of our exciting enhancements to the POB and COB area. Our goal is to help our users work smarter, not harder, by putting all of the necessary tool sets needed to complete their task in a centralized place.
Creating and Editing New Request
With the new request functionality on the POB and COB pages, you will see a Request tile on the left side of the screen. By default, this request tab will display any request for your location on the current date. However, you can hit the "Live" button, select a specific day or date range, and the Request tiles will then update to any request created for those dates selected.
To create a new request, hit the "+ New" button on the Request tile. (Note: the date does not need to be set in the filter to create a request for the future)
You will then enter in the Request Name and Deliver By date before hitting the Create button.
Upon the creation of the request, you will be brought into the request to begin adding passengers and cargo items manually to your request.
This manual process is the same process that you currently would use today when adding passengers and cargo items that are not currently on your POB or COB.
Click on the "+ Add" button to select if you want to manually add personnel, cargo, or a container to your request.
With this new feature, you will now be able to add passenger and cargo items that are on your POB and COB list directly to the request that you have created.
To do this, select the "Close" button. This will close out the Request view and change back to your list of POB passengers.
To add passengers or cargo items from the POB and COB list to a request, make sure your date range is set to include the date of the request.
Check off all of the passenger or cargo items that you wish to add to the request, then select the "+ Add" button on the tile for that specific request. This will popup a window that allows you to apply their reservation details prior to actually placing them on the request.
After selecting the passengers that you wish to add to a request, you can select individual groups of passengers that share the same reservation details and hit add. As you go through assigning those individuals or groups that share the same reservation details, the list of passengers or cargo items on the left side of the popup will dwindle down until none are left.
This allows you to select all passengers or cargo items that need to go on the request at one time, however, allowing you to easily apply unique reservation details to them as needed.
You can use the filter options on the POB and COB list to narrow down the list of passengers that you see. If you know the upcoming request is going to be the crew change for a specific company or other attribute, you can filter your list down to make selecting those passengers that much quicker.
To add personnel or cargo items to a request from the Work Site area, the request must already by created. Once the request is created, you can then select the items you wish to add to it.
Also, any request that does not have a single passenger or cargo item added yet will show up in the request list for all locations. Until an item is added and a location for the request can be determined, it will show up for all locations to see. To reduce the number of blank request that show up for every location, although not necessary, the best practice is to add at least one of your requested items to the request upon creation.
Viewing Request
There is two main ways to view the request that have been created.
The 1st is by selecting the pencil and paper icon on the top right of the request tile. This will change the view of you POB or COB list area to show the list of passengers and cargo currently on the request.
The 2nd way is to select the drop down arrow on the tile to show a list view of the passengers or cargo items on the request. While this view may be the most useful as you build your request from the POB or COB list, any edits to that request will need to be done via the 1st option.
Do note that as passengers and cargo items are placed on a request or trip reservation, they will have the reservation eyeball appear to the left of their departure date. This eyeball will help you identify which passengers and cargo items have already had their inbound reservations created. It also gives quicker access to ensuring that they are compliant for their upcoming trip and any waivers can be issued quickly from the POB area. The same reservation eyeball for the passengers Arrival Date will also be available to select and view.
