Associating Competencies to Passenger Profiles
Worksite locations can sometime require personnel to have specific training or certifications to perform the Position(s) or ICS Role(s) they are assigned to them. For example, crane operators, fire fights, medics are a few assigned roles in which the passenger may need to be current on their certification to fulfill.
Helipass allows users with the appropriate permissions to create and manage the competencies that are associated with specific personnel to ensure proper compliance checking can be done when assigning them Positions and ICS Roles on a Worksite. If a passenger is assigned a role without proper qualifications, the POB Planner will be notified that something must be done to ensure compliance.
Managing Competencies in the Personnel Profile
Associating passengers with specific position competencies can be done in the Personnel Profile. Users with proper permissions will see the "Position Competency" tab.
To add a new competency to a passenger, click the "Add" button at the top right of the modal. This will bring up the "New Position Competency Association" window.
In this view, locate the appropriate competency from the drop down list, set the issue and expiration date, and hit save.
To edit or remove an existing competency in a passenger's profile, select the pencil icon or trash can icon to the right of the competency.
If the desired competency is not in the drop down list, it will need to be added to the global competency list first.
Position Competencies do not factor into a passenger's "Go Status" for flight manifesting. Compliance of competencies will only be seen when assigning passengers to specific roles and positions on individual Worksite locations based on their Asset Configuration.
