Configuration of Living Quarters (Quarters, Rooms, & Bunks)
Overview: Helipass is looking to make improvements to the Work Site (POB/COB) area of the website to help increase efficiency and easy of use. The first of these changes will be to allow the users who manage a location's Work Site to configure what the living quarters are on their asset.
Each location will have an Manage Asset Configuration popup window that the POB Planner can use to set up their quarters, rooms, and bunks, along with how each of those go together in the hierarchy. Bunks will be nested inside of their appropriate rooms, and rooms will be nested within their appropriate quarters, all of which will be able to be marked as available or unavailable.
As a result of the living quarters being managed in this configured list, the quarters, rooms, and bunks on the passenger assignments area will be filtered to display only the options that can be selected. If a particular quarter is selected, only rooms and bunks nested under that quarter will be displayed. If the quarter, room, or bunk is marked as "Unavailable," it will not appear on the drop-down list for passenger assignments.
The Living Quarter configuration is going to be the first configurable list in this Manage Asset Configuration push. Following this, users will be able to configure their lifeboats, muster points, ICS roles, and positions. With the introduction of these tabs, you will also be able to set muster point and lifeboat dependencies based on the ICS Roles. Meaning, ICS Roles can drive automation to assign muster points and lifeboats to passengers.
Configuring Living Quarters
With the right permissions set on your profile, you will see the new Manage Asset Configuration button on the top right of the Work Site area for a location. This icon is shaped like a gear and, when select, will open up the Asset Configuration popup window. To begin adding quarters, select the "+Add" button in the Manage Asset popup window.
Begin building out the individual quarters that are location on your asset. These quarters should be broken up in a way that makes sense for your location. You start by naming the quarter which you would want to create. If all rooms and bunks are located in a single quarter, only one quarter is needed in the list.
Once you have a quarter added, you can begin creating the rooms that are located in that quarter by selecting the "+" sign right below the quarter name you've entered. By hitting enter after typing in your room, new blanks will appear for quicker entry of your rooms in your quarter.
Just like the creation of rooms under the quarter, you can then hit the "+" sign under the named room to begin creating the bunks that are found within that room you've entered. By hitting enter after typing in your bunk, new blanks will appear below the last for quicker entry of bunks in your quarter.
Once you have created all of the rooms and bunks under that quarter, hit the save button to create the next living quarter.
After you have completed the configuration of your living quarters, you may need to come back to the "Manage Asset" popup window to make edits or show something as Unavailable. Entire quarters can be marked as Available or Unavailable by selecting the blue On/Off toggle for Availability at the top right of the quarters tile. Save must be selected after any changes are made to availability.
To edit the availability of the rooms listed under a particular quarter, you can select the arrow on the top right of the tile to display all rooms and bunks in the quarter. By selecting the On/Off toggle for Availability at the top right corner of the room. This will display all of the bunks in the room as also being Unavailable. Save must be selected after any changes are made to availability.
To indicate that a single bunk within a room is Unavailable, simply click the blue box for that bunk. Unavailable bunks turn gray while available bunks are highlighted in blue. Save must be selected after any changes are made to availability.
To add or edit rooms and bunks under an existing quarter, select the pencil icon next to the quarter it needs to be placed under. When creating a new quarter, select the "+ New" button at the bottom of the popup window. Save must be selected after any changes are made to availability.
The tile itself will display summary information for the specific quarter including the availability of the quarter, rooms, and bunks within it based on the availability flags for those items. These availability flags should be used in the instance where a quarter, room, or bunk is not available for passenger assignments for one reason or another. This does not represent current occupancy of those areas.
