Lifeboat Counts Tile in the Planning Panel

Overview: A new addition has been added to the left Planning Panel  on the Worksite page. Users will now see a new third tile called "Lifeboats" where breakdowns of the lifeboat counts for any given day can be seen while doing pre-planning.

This new lifeboat tile can be refreshed as changes to the POB outlook are made. The tile will help users understand what was the count at the beginning of the day, the end of the day, and how many people assigned to that lifeboat are set to be arriving and departing for that day.

Understanding the Counts

For POB Planners who are doing advanced pre-planning of future arrivals and departures, understanding the lifeboat counts that are expected on any given day is huge. Knowing what the expected counts are for the lifeboats on the facility is essential to balancing lifeboat capacity and not overbooking a boat by mistake. With the introduction of the Lifeboat tile, users will have a clear picture into what the lifeboat counts are scheduled to look like for any given day selected.

BOD (Beginning of day) - This will be the count of passengers assigned to the lifeboat at the beginning of that day being viewed. This will take into account all arriving and departing passengers from the current day and the filtered date. It will not include anyone who is arriving on the day filtered, only those that are expected to be on board.

EOD (End of day) - This will be the count of passengers assigned to the lifeboat at the end of that day being viewed. This will take into account all arriving and departing passengers from the current day and the filtered date. It will not include anyone who is departing on the day filtered as they will not be there at the end of the day.

Arr/Dep (Arrivals and Departures) - The arrivals and departures count is to help you identify how many people associated with that lifeboat are expected to come and go from the platform on the day filtered. It can help you make sure you are doing your head-to-head swaps out correctly and have a better understanding of the volatility of those lifeboat counts as trip movement are applied throughout the day.

The Lifeboat Counts tile does not refresh automatically as changes are made to passenger assignments. Clicking the refresh button on the panel itself after making some changes will ensure you  are looking at the most updated counts as you continue pre-planning.
