Mass Editing and Deleting Events on the Schedule View Gantt

00:06: In this guide, you will learn how to manage changes to the schedule by editing and

00:09: deleting individual events, as well as editing and deleting multiple selected events

00:15: To edit an individual event, right-click on the event to open up the menu options and

00:19: select Edit Event.

00:22: Make any updates that are needed for the events data fields, including the dates and

00:26: shifts.

00:28: Once all changes have been made, select Save.

00:31: To edit multiple events at once, hold down the Control key on your keyboard and

00:35: select each event that you wish to include in the edit.

1. Introduction

2. Editing A Single Event
To edit an individual event, right-click on the event to open up the menu options and select Edit Event.

3. Update and Save

9. Delete Event and Linked Requests
Before any events are deleted, a prompt asking what you wish to do with any linked reservations will appear. Selecting the "Delete Events Only" option will delete the events from the schedule,but leave the linked request and trip reservations in the system. Selecting "Delete Events and Linked Request" will delete the events, as well as the linked request and trip reservations in the system. It is recommended to delete the events and linked reservations to ensure accurate forecasts.

10. Deleting a Current Event
If an event spans the current day, or extends back into the past, you will not be able to delete the event by right clicking on the individual event.You can, however, follow the mass delete event steps to remove the event. Do note that if an event started prior to the current day, the arriving and departing reservations will not be deleted and will need to be deleted from the trip and request manually. If an event is set to arrive on the current day, the event and linked reservations will not be deleted unless the passenger is no longer on a trip manifest.

11. Editing Departure Date for Current Events
You are able to mass edit the departure dates for passengers who have events that span across the current day. This could be useful in evacuations for emergencies and hurricanes, for instance.

12. Save Event Changes
From the mass edit event modal, make the necessary changes to the departure date and select Save. The will move all of the selected events departure date to the date identified.

13. Departure Date Warnings
Do note that at this time linked reservations are not automatically updated to match the edited events dates. Reservations will still need to be manually updated to match the event date edits. If you need to edit the dates for events that already have linked reservations, consider using the transfer functions on the trip and request themselves. When transferring passengers with linked events, the system allows you to update the event dates at the same time. Thus, reducing the work by allowing the edits to happen with the single transfer action.
