Arrival Presets - Scheduling Assignments for Arrivals

The Work Site area has received major updates with the biggest being tooling for early planning. As future reservations are created for passengers at a POB facility, those passengers will appear in the Arrival Preset section for their planned arrival date.

POB users are now able to go to future dates for their POB, see any scheduled arrivals for each day, and provide the desired assignments to that passenger. When the date of the passengers' trip comes and the movement is applied, those assignments will be carried over to the actual Personnel On Board list.

Utilizing the Arrival Preset area will increase the POB Planners visibility into the future for their location while decreasing the time spent in Helipass the day that trips arrive.

Viewing Future Reservations

To see future reservations in bound to a POB facility, select the "Live" button on the Work Site area and change it to the date of the passenger's reservation.

After the date is selected, open up the Arrival Preset section by clicking on the collapsed bar. This will expand the Arrival Preset area and display all incoming passengers for the selected date. Each arriving passenger can have their planned assignments applied and they will save automatically as they are entered.

The Last Known assignment values are pre-populated in this area to assist with giving assignments. Passengers with their Last Known values displayed are indicated by a wand icon on the far right of their tile.

Once the assignments are updated, the wand icon will change to an eraser icon. The eraser icon can then be used to delete the updated assignments and revert back to the Last Knowns. If you wish to save the Last Knowns, click on the wand icon and it will turn into the eraser icon to indicate they have been saved.

Reservations will need to be created for them to show up in the Arrival Preset section of the Work Site. Do this by placing passengers on a request and/or a trip.

Once that reservation is made, that passenger will show up in the Arrival Preset section for that specific date.

If the Last Known assignments are not saved, the Last Knows will be used for that passenger's assignments when a trip movement is applied.

Future plans will be to remove the auto population of Last Knowns for arriving passengers and let POB users opt-in to populating Last Knowns.

Bunk Availability Indicator

The Bunk column in both the Arrival Preset section and the POB List area now have a visual indicator for the status of that bunk on that day.

The bunk indicator shows the availability of the bunk based on the end of day for the date selected. It takes into account all bunk assignments for passengers on board the POB plus any arrivals and departures between the current day and the date selected in the view.

Understanding the 3 different colors:

  • Green- means that the bunk is available for assignment
  • Red- means that the bunk is set to be occupied by someone already on board the facility
  • Yellow- means that the bunk is set to be occupied by someone who is still in the Arrival Preset section but has not been applied to the POB yet

When setting up your Living Quarters, include the room numbers with the bunks that are created to help easily identify the specific bunks and their availability.

If you only put the bunk options without including the room number, you will need to set the room assignment first to better understand which bunks are available and which ones are not.

Departing reservations should be created so the bunk indicator knows if and when that passengers bunk will be available. If on board passengers do not have a departure reservation set, the bunk indicator will continue to show their bunk occupied.

Lifeboat Counts Indicator

Similar to the bunk indicator, the lifeboat assignment dropdown reveals what the lifeboat loads are going to be for the date selected in the view. All Personnel On Board and arrivals and departures between current day and the date being viewed will be taking into account.

By viewing what the total personnel in each lifeboat is going to be on future dates, POB users will be able to balance the lifeboats better and ensure they are not overloading them for dates in the future.

Departing reservations should be created so the lifeboat count indicator knows if and when that passengers seat will be available. If on board passengers do not have a departure reservation set, the lifeboat indicator will continue to show their seat occupied.
