January 2024 Update
Bug Fixes
Manifest Users - We're pleased to announce a recent bug fix that addresses an issue with the enforcement of restrictions on adding unregistered passengers to manifests.
Previously, tenants in our system had the option to prevent the addition of unregistered passengers to a manifest. However, it was brought to our attention that this setting was not properly being enforced, leading to potential security concerns.
We're happy to inform you that our development team has swiftly addressed this issue. Moving forward, tenants with this restriction applied will no longer have the ability to add an unregistered passenger to a trip manifest. This enhancement ensures greater adherence to your security preferences and provides peace of mind when managing passenger data.
Report Users - It has come to our attention that when emails were triggered without attachments, it was causing the email utility to break. We understand the frustration this may have caused, and we want to assure you that our team has been hard at work resolving this issue.
We're pleased to announce that a fix has been implemented, and the issue has been addressed and released. Moving forward, you can expect the email utility to function seamlessly, even when triggered without attachments.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked to resolve this matter promptly.
System Updates
Worksite Users - We're excited to announce a recent enhancement to our platform that will assist in assignment management on the Worksite and Schedule View pages. Passengers that are added to crews can now have their primary position assigned to them from within the Crew modal.
With this update, managing crew members on your Schedule View is now more streamlined than ever. The Position dropdown list allows you to easily assign specific roles or positions to crew members, ensuring clear communication and organization within your planned schedule horizon
Whether you're assigning construction workers, painters, medics, or other core positions, this new feature provides greater flexibility and efficiency in managing your crew passengers. Be on the lookout for future system tie-ins for crew defined positions!
Tenant Admins - We want to inform you about a recent system update regarding permissions. We've implemented a standardized core set of permissions listed for all tenants, aimed at improving consistency across the board.
Please note that due to customizations, these permission options have been re-calibrated to match across all tenants. While this may not seem like a significant change on the surface, it's a necessary step towards ensuring a more uniform user experience.
Additionally, we want to clarify that some permissions may not appear to activate certain features immediately. This could be because specific features require back-end adjustments by our developers before the permissions can grant access.
Single Sign On Users - We would like to inform you about an upcoming update regarding our Single Sign-On (SSO) system. The SSL certificate currently in use is set to expire this upcoming weekend.
We're pleased to share that we've been diligently working with all of our Single Sign-On customers' IT teams to ensure a seamless transition. The SSL certificate has been renewed, and the new certificate will become active as the old one expires.
This collaborative effort should lead to no/minimal disruption for our Single Sign-On users, with the updated certificate providing continued security and reliability for your authentication needs.
Please be advised that Helipass conducts routine scheduled maintenance on Saturday evenings to ensure the security and reliability of our platform. During these maintenance windows, users may experience system downtime until the necessary security patches are completed.
While we strive to announce these scheduled maintenance events in advance, they may occasionally occur without prior notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain the integrity of our system.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
