August 2024 Update

System Updates

Worksite Users - New Forecasted Bunk Report available in the Custom Reporting area

Worksite users that have access to the Custom Reporting page now have access to a new report—the Forecasted Bunk Report. This new report allows Worksite locations to project bunk availability for a selected date range based on the reservations of arriving and departing passengers. It also offers additional functionality by allowing users to include passengers' names rather than simply showing whether the bunk is occupied.

Depending on how you passenger reservations are being created, you may need to enter an Estimated Departure Date for passengers not requested directly from the POB page to ensure POB passengers have an estimated departure to be used when calculating bunk availability for the report.

For accurate forecasting, always ensure the current date is included in the date range. To find more information about other POB reports located on the Custom Reports page, click here.

Kiosk Users - Increased the text limit for entering in valid phone numbers at the kiosk

We've made an improvement to the maximum character limit restriction for phone numbers being entered at the Helipass kiosk. Previously, passengers from countries with longer phone numbers, including country codes, encountered issues when trying to enter their full numbers. The kiosk would display a warning if the number exceeded 10 characters, which was problematic for many international travelers.

To enhance the experience for passengers from around the world, we've increased the maximum character limit for phone numbers at the kiosk. This update ensures that passengers can now enter their full phone numbers, including country codes, without receiving an error message, providing a smoother and more inclusive experience.

Manifest Users - Ability to include future scheduled trips when generating the Flight Utilization report in the future

We've rolled out an update to the Flight Utilization report available in the Custom Reporting area of the site, designed to enhance its functionality for our Manifest customers. Previously, this report could only capture historical trips and those already scheduled, but it had limitations in terms of forecasting future trips and managing trip status filters.

With the recent update, users can now include forecasted virtual trips that are planned on the schedule but not yet created. Additionally, you can now choose to "Include All Trip Statuses," which will incorporate cancelled trips in the report output. This enhanced reporting capability allows users to export more comprehensive data, improving the ability to forecast and plan future operations effectively.

Manifest Users - Ability to prevent passengers from being added directly to a trip manifest without a request reservation

A new feature has been introduced in Helipass to restrict the manual addition of passengers to a manifest, aligning with certain companies' workflows that require all passengers to have a request before being added to a trip manifest. This approach ensures that proper planning channels are followed and facilitates easy recovery if the schedule changes.

Tenant admins can now enforce these workflows by configuring user group permissions to remove the ability to manually add passengers and crews directly to a trip manifest. This new setting helps maintain consistency and control over how passengers are scheduled, ensuring that all necessary steps are followed in the planning process.

Helipass Users - The size of the Notes box that appears in various places has been increased for easier viewing

Helipass has responded to user feedback regarding the small size of popup notes boxes across the website, which made it difficult to read and manage notes efficiently. To address this, an update has been released that enlarges these notes boxes significantly.

With this enhancement, users will find it much easier to view and interact with notes, improving communication and collaboration between teams. The larger notes boxes provide a more user-friendly experience, allowing for easier reading and editing of notes across the platform.

Bug Fixes

Manifest Users - Trip actuals not properly saving when updated

A bug was identified where trip actuals were not being saved correctly when users entered them. This issue affected users trying to record trip data in the Actuals tab. Once discovered, an expedited fix was implemented the same evening to address the problem.

Now, users can confidently enter trip actuals, and the information will be saved as expected without any issues. This quick response ensures smoother trip management and accurate data recording for all users.

If you are a user who maintains the trip actuals in Helipass, please review the actuals for trips the last week of August. More specifically, the dates of 27th-30th.

Schedule View Users - The Schedule View gantt not reloading properly after creating linked request for the events on the schedule

A bug was reported where the Schedule View Gantt did not reload properly after creating a linked request for an event. This issue caused problems for users who rely on the Gantt view to visualize and manage their schedules. The development team identified the root cause and quickly resolved the issue.

With the fix in place, Schedule View users should now experience proper reloading of the Gantt view after creating linked requests, ensuring a smoother and more reliable scheduling process.

Sneak Peek!!

HPA Users - Ability to identify a weight limit for individual cargo stations to ensure the transports are not overloaded

A new feature is currently in development for Helipass Automation (HPA) customers. This feature will allow HPA users to declare weight limits for cargo holds on transports and other cargo stations. Once fully implemented, customers will be able to set weight limits and receive warnings when bags and cargo items exceed those limits during scanning processes.

This feature is aimed at enhancing the management of cargo weight, helping to prevent overloading and ensuring compliance with weight regulations during loading of the transport. More functionality will be rolled out as the development progresses and settings are completely wired up!

Worksite Users - Lifeboat tag management

The Lifeboat Tag Management feature is currently in development, with back-end support for tracking lifeboat tags already in place. Work on the user interface (UI) and reporting aspects is actively progressing.

Once this feature is fully released, Worksite users will be able to assign lifeboat tags to passengers, associating them with lifeboats they are designated to muster to during an emergency or abandon process. These tags will be managed in the system, allowing for the issuance of physical tags to passengers upon arrival and collection upon their departure.

Stay tuned for the final release in the coming weeks!
