April 2024 Update

System Updates

Worksite Users - We are excited to announce the addition of three new reports available to Worksite users. These reports, which are located under the "POB Worksheets" drop-down menu, can be downloaded by users to help manage the passengers that are on board their worksite.

1. POB by Company: The POB by Company report provides a list of all passengers on board the facility sorted by their company. Each passenger is listed with their assigned project, weights, and muster point. The report also provides a breakdown of totals based on projects, cost codes, and muster points that can be referenced to understand the personnel on board and their assignments.

2. POB by Name: The POB by Name report is nearly identical to the POB by Company export. The only exception is that the report is sorted by passenger name instead of by company.

3. Non-US Citizen Report: The Non-US Citizen report provides an export that includes details about passengers not from the US. These details can be used to provide the information needed to satisfy Coast Guard requirements with reporting of passengers on board. Note that this report is locked behind user permissions due to the sensitive information provided on the report.

Mobile App Users - We're pleased to announce the addition of a new capability to our mobile app that allows the deletion of accounts when mobile app users request it. With this feature, users can now request the removal of their personal information from our system and easily have their mobile user account deleted.

This enhancement not only empowers users to exercise greater control over their data but also ensures that our platform remains in compliance with app store policies regarding user data management. By providing users with the option to delete their profiles, we reaffirm our commitment to data privacy and transparency.

Schedule View Users - We're excited to introduce a powerful new feature that enhances the process of managing passenger events on the schedule. With this update, users can now create arriving and departing request reservations for passengers directly from the schedule interface.

By simply right-clicking on the date or on a specific passenger event on the schedule, users can initiate the process of creating reservations. This streamlined workflow allows users to quickly add passengers to existing reservations or create new reservations if none exist.

Once a passenger event has linked arriving and/or departing reservations on their profile, users will notice visual indicators on the schedule. An eye icon represents that a request has been made, while a plane icon indicates that the reservation has been added to a trip. Clicking on these icons opens the passenger's reservation profile, providing users with more detailed information about the reservation.

This feature not only improves efficiency but also enhances visibility into reservation status, enabling users to better manage passenger events and ensure smooth trip planning and execution.

Bug Fixes

Manifest Users - We're pleased to announce that we've addressed an issue that some users encountered when building request reservations for passengers. Specifically, users may have experienced difficulty adjusting the origin field, as it was locked to their Worksite location.

This issue posed a challenge when creating request reservations for outbound passengers whose origin was not the offshore asset. Upon discovering this issue, our dedicated Helipass team quickly worked to resolve it and released a hot fix the very next day.

We're happy to report that users can once again adjust the origin for requested passengers, providing greater flexibility and accuracy in reservation management. Please note that the exception to this is when building request reservations via the "Add to Request from POB" feature.

Manifest Users - We're pleased to announce that we've resolved a bug that affected the configuration of maximum seats in trip manifests. Users reported that when creating a new trip manifest in the system, the default maximum seats value for the selected call sign was not being applied as expected.

This issue required users to manually input the maximum seats value for each trip created manually, causing unnecessary inconvenience and potential errors in trip planning.

After investigating the issue, our Helipass team quickly addressed the underlying cause. We're happy to report that the defaulted maximum seat values should now be automatically populating whenever the assigned call sign executing the manifest is selected.

Helipass Users - It had been reported that, on occasion, users were unable to properly update and save courses under a passenger's profile.

After investigating the issue, our team identified the root cause and implemented the necessary fixes to address it. We're happy to report that the issue should no longer occur, providing users with a smoother experience when managing passenger courses.

We apologize for any inconvenience this bug may have caused and appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve it. If you encounter any further issues or have any feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. We're here to assist you every step of the way.

Did you know?!

Have you ever been on the Worksite page and wanted to open up a specific request or trip that a passenger is on? Or maybe you were working in the system and someone comes in and ask you for a bit of information that is on a different page?

If you are constantly bouncing around in the site and losing you place when you do, consider opening up the windows in a new tab! There are plenty of places that opening up a new tab could be beneficial and save you some precious time, especially if you have slower than desired internet speeds.

Whether it be opening up a new page from the top menu bar, or opening up a trip/request from a passenger's reservation profile, the easiest ways are to:

1. Center click the scroll wheel on your computers mouse (if equipped)
2. Right clicking on the desired link and selected to "Open in a new tab" from the drop-down menu that appears

By opening the pages you want to navigate to in another window or tab, you will still have the tab you were working from as it was before you opened up the other tab. Your date filter, sorting options, and other filtered out information, will remain in tact without having to navigate back and setting them again!

Please be advised that Helipass conducts routine scheduled maintenance on Saturday evenings to ensure the security and reliability of our platform. During these maintenance windows, users may experience system downtime until the necessary security patches are completed.

While we strive to announce these scheduled maintenance events in advance, they may occasionally occur without prior notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain the integrity of our system.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
