June 2024 Update
System Updates
Worksite Users - Ability to see current location for a POB passenger on their Personnel Profile
We are excited to introduce a new feature that enhances the visibility of passenger information. If a passenger is currently on board at a Worksite location, users will now see the current location and arrival date displayed on the passenger's personnel profile, as well as on their profile tile on the Personnel page.
With this feature enabled in the Advanced Settings page, users can quickly identify if a passenger is at their worksite or if they have departed and are now off schedule. This addition provides immediate transparency, eliminating the need to track down passengers' whereabouts.
Tenant Admin who wish to turn this feature on can do so under the Personnel On Board section of the Advanced Settings page.
Schedule View Users - Warning surfaced on the Schedule View page when the scheduled event does not match the requested date
We have improved the Schedule View page to enhance the user experience when building scheduled events and corresponding reservations for passengers. Now, if a linked request does not match the date of the event, users will receive a detailed warning on the page. This warning provides information about the passengers and the date mismatches, allowing users to jump directly into the specific event(s) or request(s) to make the necessary changes.
Alongside the warnings being surfaced, users making changes to the dates or a linked request or event will be prompted if they would like the corresponding request reservation or event updated to match the changes being made. This new prompt will provide users an easy way to make the updates in real time without having to make the changes in multiple areas of the website.
This new feature will give users greater visibility into scheduling issues and provide an efficient way to address these problems well in advance of the event date, ensuring smoother planning and execution.
Flight Planning Users - Additional fields added to the Aircraft Configuration modal
We have added new fields to the Aircraft Configuration modal for our Flight Planning customers. This enhancement allows for greater detail and precision in configuring different aircraft layouts used in Weight & Balance planning for manifests.
With the latest update, users can now:
- Lock aircraft configurations that have been built.
- Restrict edits to the transport details on the manifest.
- Identify whether KG or LBS are entered for the configuration.
- Access additional attributes for improved configuration.
These updates bring us closer to completing our Flight Planning project, which is just weeks away. Stay tuned for more enhancements to make your planning process even smoother!
Worksite Users - Non US Citizen report updated to allow all POB personnel or the exclusion of specific countries as needed
We have made significant updates to the "Non US Citizen Report" available on the Worksite page under the POB Worksheets dropdown menu. This report traditionally provided a list of all passengers on the POB, excluding USA national passengers. However, as Helipass expands its services globally, there was a growing need to include USA passengers and exclude other countries when generating this report.
With the recent updates, Worksite users with the appropriate permissions can now download the newly named "Citizen Report." Before downloading the report, the Worksite user can now choose if they wish to include all personnel on the POB, or choose a specific country or citizenship they wish to exclude.
This enhancement makes the report more versatile, catering to various regions worldwide and offering a more inclusive option for USA-based locations.
Access to the Citizen Report is handled with User and User Group permissions. These permissions can only be updated by the customer Tenant Admin.
Manifest Users - Ability to have bag and cargo weights combined as a total cargo weight on the leg summary for manifest
We have introduced a feature improvement to the trip leg summary information provided on the manifest. This new feature, available via a toggle in the Advanced Settings, changes how bag and cargo weight is displayed, aiding users in planning flights more effectively.
Users planning flights must adhere to strict weight limits for the aircraft's cargo hold, which includes both passenger bags and cargo items. With this new feature, the trip leg summary will now show the total weight of all items in the cargo hold, along with a breakdown of the individual weights of bags and cargo. These details will also be included in the printed manifests given to pilots.
Displaying the combined weight of bags and cargo helps prevent overloading the aircraft, enhancing safety and efficiency for flight planning and execution teams.
The new feature toggle for combining bag and cargo weights is located on the Advance Settings page under the Manifest section. The setting is turned off by default and can be turned on by the tenant admin as they see fit.
Bug Fixes
Worksite Users - Deleted Asset Configuration entries no longer populating as passengers default assignments
We have addressed an issue related to the Asset Configuration on the Worksite page. Users can configure the options that appear in the POB passengers assignment dropdown menus. Occasionally, these configurations need to be updated, which may involve deleting an option. When this occurred, future arriving passengers with that deleted value saved as their default assignment were still showing the deleted option in the Arrival Preset area.
The Helipass team has fixed this issue. Now, when an assignment option is deleted, passengers with that deleted assignment saved as their preset will show a blank value in the Arrival Preset section.
Worksite Users - Issue with excess pages being included on the Muster Point exports has been addressed
We have addressed a bug affecting the Muster Point export from the Worksite page. Some users noticed that, on occasion, their Muster Point locations would add excessive white space, resulting in the export containing multiple additional pages that were nearly blank.
The Helipass team has successfully fixed the underlying issue, ensuring that the Muster Point exports now have the proper spacing and page count. Users should no longer receive exports containing these blank pages.
Worksite Users - Issue with time zones affecting POB exports has been addressed
We addressed an issue where time zones were affecting the downloaded exports from the Worksite page. Users working across different time zones noticed discrepancies in the exported data, often seeing the next day's data due to incorrect time zone conversions. The initial report of the issue were mainly from the Arrival and Departure reports surfacing the next days trips when printed later in the evening.
With recent updates, reports now respect time zones appropriately, ensuring that the exported data matches the date expectations set by the user before downloading.
Manifest Users - Opening the select modal on the Trips page no longer cutting off when the left Planning Panel is closed
We have resolved a bug affecting the Select dropdown menu on the Manifest page. Previously, if users had the left Planning Panel closed while in the Plan view for a trip manifest, opening the Select dropdown menu would result in half of the box being cut off due to the code forcing the modal to open to the left.
Our developers have adjusted the code to ensure that the menu opens correctly and is fully visible, even when the left Planning Panel is closed.
Helipass Users - Issue with sorting due to ALL CAPS vs Natural Caps has been address
We have addressed an issue affecting the sorting of lists on multiple pages throughout the website. Users reported that items in ALL CAPS were incorrectly prioritized over items in Natural Caps. This issue affected the Company page, Manifest Plan page, and the Request page.
With the recent update, passengers and companies will now appear in the proper alphabetical order, regardless of the case used. This improvement will help users quickly identify the companies and passengers they need, reducing confusion and enhancing efficiency.
Schedule View Users - Request linking modal not closing properly after making edits to a passengers reservation
We have addressed an issue on the Schedule View page where users encountered problems closing the Request modal while managing their schedule. After navigating to the request and making changes, users were unable to utilize the Close button to exit the modal.
The Helipass team has identified and corrected the code causing this issue. The buttons in the modal should now function properly as expected, ensuring a smoother user experience.
Advanced Analytic Users - Issue with Advanced Analytics page not loading
We have released a bug fix to address an issue affecting tenants using the Advanced Analytics page. Some users experienced problems with the page not loading properly when attempting to navigate to it.
This issue has now been resolved, ensuring that all users can seamlessly access and utilize the Advanced Analytics page without any interruptions.
Did you know?!
Are you a manifest user who is responsible to booking reservations, building manifest, or ensuring that all processes for the day of travel are followed? If so, you may be interested in checking out the gantt views for the Trip's page!
When you are on the Trip's page, you will notice the 3 different view modes that are available. By default, you will land on the List View, however, there are buttons to take the same trip data driving that list view and turn it into visualized gantt views.
These gantt views can offer information about estimated cost of trips and seats on each leg, utilization rates of each leg, and other key details of the trips. The gantt views are a great place for manifest users to identify sharing opportunities between their neighbors, as well as ways to be more cost efficient!
You can read more about the different view modes of the Trip Page here, as well as catching up on the other Did you know?! that you might have missed!
